L.H. Bayley and Paul Murin Ring NYSE Closing Bell to Commemorate Firm’s 100th Anniversary
August 5, 2008—Wall Street’s impressive triple-digit gain on August 5, 2008 was the perfect way to set-up the closing bell ceremony for David A. Noyes & Company, in commemoration of the firm’s 100th anniversary.
Representing the oldest New York Stock Exchange member firm headquartered in the Windy City, L.H. Bayley, Chairman and Financial Advisor for 50 years, and Paul Murin, President and CEO, closed out a jubilant and historic trading session.
“If you think about all that has happened in the last 100 years—the Great Depression, all the wars and other uncertain times—our firm’s longevity is a testament to our approach of delivering personal service and customized solutions to our clients,” said Paul Murin.

“We were pleased to be able to commemorate our 100th anniversary with our longtime partners at the New York Stock Exchange,” said L.H. Bayley. “As Chicago’s longest standing member of the financial world’s most prestigious organization, we were thrilled to stand alongside our colleagues in celebration. It may have been just another closing bell, but it was a moment in time that represented a century of historic success for our firm, and our family of clients.”
