Friends and Family Come Together to Celebrate 100th Anniversary
September 4, 2008—In an evening filled with joy, laughter and memories, friends and family of David A. Noyes & Company celebrated 100 years of providing exceptional financial services at the Art Institute of Chicago.

As an integral part of the Windy City’s financial history, the celebration was appropriately held in the original Chicago Stock Exchange Trading Room, first built in 1893 and reconstructed at the new site in 1977. In the warm glow of a room meticulously architected with elaborate stenciled decorations, molded plaster capitals, and art glass preserved from the original Trading Room, everyone also stopped to remember lost friends.

“One of the last projects Paul Murin took on for this firm before his passing was to help plan this party,” said John Bouckaert, President as he spoke during the firm’s 100th anniversary celebration. “And one of the last decisions he made was selecting the wine. So, it’s very appropriate that we raise our glasses and give a heartfelt and loving toast to our departed President and dear friend. We’ll miss you Paul.”
Filled with the classic jazz sounds of one of Chicago’s premier bands, Eric Hockberg Trio, the reconstructed Trading Room provided the perfect ambiance for the evening. In attendance on the rainy evening were firm staff, partners and clients.
“We appreciate everybody coming out tonight to help us celebrate our anniversary” said L.H. Bayley, Chairman. “This is a wonderful way and a wonderful place to come together and share memories. Being around for 100 years is an extraordinary accomplishment. And we’re recommitted to providing excellent financial services for another 100 years.”
